How we use AI daily: The Hidden Technologies Shaping Your World!

Maryna King

Imagine waking up one day and finding that all the Artificial Intelligence technologies you rely on, don’t work anymore.

From the moment you open your eyes to the time you go to bed, AI subtly but profoundly shapes your daily experiences. It's not just about convenience; AI enhances efficiency, security, and even your well-being. I wanted to show you how AI are integrated into our daily life’s.

Making the complex appear simple and the mundane surprisingly intelligent.

12 am

Somewhere in the world, someone is buying my product online. This is made possible by several AI-driven tasks, from search engines suggesting my product, to bots answering questions and making product recommendations, to a fully automated sales process.

6 am

Thanks to facial recognition, my phone unlocks.

6:40 am

“Hey Google, play some music so I can start my exercise.”

6:50 am

My Apple Watch alerts me to my heart rate.

7:30 am

What to wear? “Siri, what’s the temperature today?”

8:00 am

I drive to work in my electric car.

9 am

Everyone has left home, and my robot vacuum cleaner starts its cleaning routine.

10 am

On the way to a meeting, I stop at the supermarket for a snack. Some companies use AI to scan their parking lots to determine the busiest times of day, helping them manage data and optimise operations.

10:10 am

Maps guide me to my meeting, showing me the road, traffic congestions, the fastest routes, and traffic cameras – gotta love AI.

Remember the “Refradex” days!!

12:30 pm

At the bank, AI-driven facial recognition systems enhance security by capturing high-resolution images of everyone entering.

12:45 pm

On my way back to the office, I listen to a podcast suggested by Spotify, based on my listening preferences.

1 pm

At the office, I enjoy a delicious salad, thanks to AI in agriculture monitoring crop health.

3 pm

I do a quick visit to the hospital for a scan, where AI assists in analysis, providing more accurate diagnosis.

4 pm

I just remembered that I haven’t created my Instagram video yet. Thankfully, I can use apps to touch up my makeup and enhance my appearance before going on camera. I also ask Claude AI for a quick caption.

5:30 pm

My son has an exam tomorrow, so I upload his learning sheets to ChatGPT and ask it to create 20 questions and answers for practice.

6 pm

I ask Google for pork steak recipes as I’m too tired to think after a very busy day.

6:30 pm

At home, I respond to personal emails while preparing dinner. Gmail’s Smart Reply uses machine learning to suggest appropriate responses. If I’m invited to an event, it might suggest “Yes,” “No,” or “Sounds amazing, I’ll be there!” Gmail also categorises emails and nudges me to follow up or respond.

7 pm

Planning my December holiday, I browse Airbnb for accommodation options. I also ask ChatGPT to recommend an itinerary.

8 pm

To end the day, I relax with a movie. Netflix suggests films based on what I’ve watched before.

As you can see, AI is seamlessly integrated into our daily lives, often in ways we might not even notice. From the moment we wake up to the time we go to bed, AI-driven technologies work quietly in the background, enhancing our productivity, security, and convenience.

Imagining a day without AI really underscores how much we rely on these invisible helpers to make our lives run more smoothly. As AI continues to advance, it’s exciting to think about the new possibilities and innovations that lie ahead.

In saying that, it is never about replacing human tasks, it is about how AI can make our life’s easier and better.
